The history, broadcasting principles and current structure of Mavera Media Group.
Mavera Media Group began its broadcasting life in 1994 with Radio Mavera FM, founded in Istanbul. Launched with a team of three, the station soon became one of the most listened-to in the Marmara region with its music and news programs.
The group consists of six television channels, a digital platform, two radio stations, a newspaper and Mavera Prodüksiyon. More than 2,300 employees work at the broadcast center in Istanbul and in news bureaus in 11 countries. Over 1,800 hours of original content are produced every year.
Editorial independence, accurate and balanced news, audience trust, creative freedom and respect for employee rights. These values are set out in detail on the Broadcasting Principles page. Viewer feedback and complaints are handled by our audience ombudsperson.
Over the last five years our productions have won 47 national and international awards. Under our media literacy program, 11,000 students at 62 high schools were trained in countering disinformation and critical viewing.
